Delaney named SoCon Wrestler of the Week

Citadel heavyweight Odie Delaney went 5-0 in the duel meets in Hampton Va over the weekend and has been named the Southern Conference Wrestler of the Week.  Odie defeated the #16 heavyweight wrestler in the nation from Kent State on his way to 5-0.   New rankings came out yesterday and Mr. Delaney is back in the top 25 at #17.  Not to shabby for a man who was ranked pre-season but had an emergency appendectomy before the season began.  He is obviously recovered and back at full strength.    

 

Turt Luvsandorj, the 174 pound Mongolian also went undefeated and rose from18th to 15th in the national rankings. Turt, a junior, was in the top ten by season’s end last year and it looks like he is poise for another run at the top ten this season.
