This is the final week of college football recruiting. Next Wednesday, February 1st is National Signing day and all the lambs will be in the fold by the end of that day, hopefully. Coach Higgins and his staff have 22 verbal commitments along with two partial scholarships for a placekicker and a long snapper. There may be more, depending on who falls to the FCS and the Bulldogs because they got promised but not signed by one of the minor BCS schools. Below are the recruits that have publicly stated, in print, on TV or sports talk radio, that they have committed to The Military College of South Carolina to play football in the fall of 2012. You will see some of these young men on the Sansom field at Johnson Hagood stadium during the 2012 season.

Vinny Miller: 5-11, 190 – FB- North Augusta HS, North Augusta, S.C.
Hunter Morris: 6-1, 215 – Long Snapper/Center, A. L. Brown HS, Kannapolis, N.C.
Te’Muerick Moseley: 5-11, 185 – Athlete, Dunwoody HS, Atlanta, GA.
Brent O’Neal: 5-9, 190 – RB – Canterbury School, ST. Petersburg, FL
Mark Thomas: 6-2, 215 – DE, OLB – Glynn Academy, Brunswick, GA.
Kyle Weaver: 6-1, 275 – OL – Hilton Head Christian School, Hilton Head, SC
Trey White: 6’0, 180 – QB/ATHLETE – ST. Pius X HS, Atlanta GA
Obviously, this is not our entire class. There are more that have verbally committed to The Citadel but have not publicly announced, often times at the request of the coaching staff. The full list of signees will be posted next Thursday February 2nd, or Wednesday February 1 if I can get it from the SID before too late.
