Citadel announces four new football signees

The Citadel has officially announced four new signees for football:

DaSean Daniels
, LB, 5’10”, 220, Lawrenceville, Ga./Greater Atlanta Christian
Four-year letterman in football … earned one letter in baseball and track … recorded 93 tackles, three sacks, one interception, one fumble recovery and one fumble forced during his senior season … named to all-county team during his junior season when he recorded 78 tackles … broke his high school’s back squat record … a member of the National Honors Society … grandfather, Fred Flowers, played baseball at Florida State … born Feb. 14, 1994 in Augusta, Ga. … son of Andre and David Daniels … plans to major in business administration.
Daniels originally signed with Navy out of high school, over offers from Georgetown and Colgate, and spent a year at the Navy Prep School.

Jordan Scott, DB, 6’0”, 180, Aiken, S.C./South Aiken
Earned four varsity letters in basketball and two in football … recorded 86 tackles, eight pass break ups and three forced fumbles during his senior season to go along with 11 receptions for 135 yards and one touchdown … posted 117 tackles, four forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries during his junior season … a four-time all-region basketball player … head coach Jeremy West is a Citadel graduate … member of the National Honor Society … born Feb. 17, 1996 in Aiken, S.C. … son of Nell and Randy Scott … plans to major in health, exercise and sport science.

Evan McField, 6’0”, 200, Goose Creek, S.C/Goose Creek Earned three varsity letters in football and track and one in basketball … rushed for 1,200 yards and 13 touchdowns during senior season to earn a spot on the all-region team … honored as Post & Courier Player of the Week and Live 5 News’ Player of the Week … played special teams and tight end for the majority of his junior season … named scout team player of the week twice during freshman year … a member of the 2011 team which won the state title and 2012-13 teams which were regional champions … born Dec. 25, 1995 in Charleston, S.C. … son of Kevin McField and Alexandria Brown … plans to major in business administration.

You already knew of Javion Duncan, 6’0”, 255, DE, Simpsonville, S.C./Woodmont because he told The Men From Romeo that he would sign with the Dogs. A four-year letterman in football and track and field … recorded 65 tackles, 16 sacks, 20 tackles for loss, four pass breakups, and four quarterback hurries during his senior season … named to all-region team in 2012 and 2013 and tabbed as his team’s defensive MVP 2011-13 … started in 44 consecutive games … top shot put thrower of the year in 2011 and 2012 … his uncle, Monty Duncan, played wide receiver and punt returner at Florida from 1989-93 … born Jan. 5, 1996 in Gainesville, Fla. … son of Herb and Gala Duncan … plans to major in business administration.
